Care in Coachella Valley

Meeting People Where They Are

Our Coachella Valley Street Medicine Teams increase access to healthcare for underserved communities, especially for people who are housing insecure. We meet people where they are, on the street, in encampments, in shelters, in rural areas, and who are otherwise excluded from traditional healthcare systems. We provide ongoing care for our patients.

We believe all people deserve quality healthcare, delivered with dignity.

Street Medicine in the Coachella Valley means delivering care across one of California's most challenging environments. Our teams travel off-road daily to reach individuals living in remote desert encampments, bringing medical care, hygiene supplies, basic necessities, and connections to housing and community resources directly to them.

With summer temperatures regularly exceeding 110°F, preventing heat-related illness is a critical part of our work. We provide cold drinking water, cooling supplies, electrolytes, and information on local cooling centers to help keep people safe while ensuring access to essential healthcare, no matter how remote the location.
