Wellness Equity Alliance designs, implements, and scales integrated healthcare and public health models that provide access to healthcare for traditionally marginalized people. Our field-based street medicine, clinic-based, and community-based programs address the social, structural, and environmental barriers that shape health by delivering medical care, behavioral health services, substance use support, infectious disease care, care coordination, and wraparound services to people where they are.

Ending the HIV Epidemic is within our reach. It’s no longer a question of science but of access.
HIV Street Medicine provides a powerful national pathway to bring equitable HIV prevention and treatment directly to people who need it most. With decisive leadership and focused policy action, the United States has the opportunity to move closer to an AIDS-free generation.
At Wellness Equity Alliance our multidisciplinary HIV Street Medicine Teams deliver care directly to where people are on the street, in encampments, at reentry centers, and in rural areas. Services include:
HIV testing
Onsite initiation of ART or PrEP
Medication delivery to encampments and shelters to ensure continuity
Direct observation or follow-up support adherence
Mental and behavioral healthcare
Harm reduction services
Hygiene supplies
Our teams include peers with lived experience, which reduces stigma and increases engagement.

The Wellness Equity Alliance Indio Crisis Center is a 24/7 walk-in, immediate behavioral health facility providing crisis assessments and crisis intervention to individuals as young as 5 years old experiencing a behavioral health crisis or urgent need.
Our center is staffed by behavioral health professionals who are trained to evaluate and stabilize individuals in crisis.
By delivering comprehensive, round-the-clock care and support, the crisis clinic helps individuals regain stability to transition back into the community.
We offer a range of services including crisis intervention, psychiatric and therapeutic services, substance use counseling, peer support, case management, and referrals to other community resources as needed.

Wellness Equity Alliance partners with Tribal communities to create sustainable, Tribally-owned and Tribally-controlled healthcare systems that advance sovereignty, improve health outcomes, and support economic development.

Wellness Equity Alliance partners with rural communities and public agencies to expand healthcare access through mobile care, outreach, care coordination, public health services, and locally responsive support where traditional healthcare capacity is limited.
This includes capacity building and the delivery of services in rural desert areas in the California Coachella Valley where there is a distinct lack of health, wellness, and shelter resources for vulnerable populations.
