Healthcare Controller

Victoria Walker holds a Bachelors of Science Degree in Mathematics from California Lutheran University, having graduated Summa Cum Laude with Departmental Honors, and Modeling, Actuarial and Analytics as understudies.  At the top of her class, Victoria was awarded the honorary position of Mathematics Departmental Assistant, and dedicated more than 300 hours to the Mathematics Lab, assisting students with achieving enhanced mathematics understandings.

Victoria's career spans more than 25 years within a number of industries including For Profit and Nonprofit Healthcare, performing Finance, Accounting, Reporting and Analytics.

Victoria's career has passed through (3) major economic time periods, all with lingering pecuniary difficulties, (Dot Com Recession of 2001, The Great Recession of 2007-2009 and most recently the Covid-19 Recession of ’2020-2022).  Her Accounting/Financial expertise, along with management bravura during those struggling time periods allowed her the experience of successfully generating fast paced Revenue Growth Initiatives, Cost reductions and staffing turnover reduction/maintenance.

The timing of Victoria's career has coincided with the beginnings, continued growth and explosion of technology. Possessing the entire history of accounting, finance and analytic technology, she brings a unique and vast amount of both knowledge and experience. Victoria has performed numerous accounting system implementations and has led the conversion from Cash to Accrual Accounting and also Accrual to Cash, depending on business taxation preferences.   

Currently, Victoria is with WEA as Healthcare Controller to create financial visibility for all team members through budget participation, expand the Finance and Accounting teams to improve accuracy, create SOPs, and to assist with WEA's continued growth in the pursuit of Health Access and Equality for all.
