As a preacher’s grandchild helping people has always been a way of life for James. He was taught to always give to his community. In doing so, James has over 23 years experience as a senior noncommissioned medical officer in the Army. He specialized in combat medicine, medical supply, and logistics. After returning from overseas combat tours, James was stationed in Chicago where he worked with clergy, federal, state, and city officials to build anti-drug coalitions. He also helped develop and teach the Army’s “Stay on track” program in the Chicago public school district. This program gave the children of Illinois the tools to say no to drugs and gang violence. James has over 10 years of logistics experience working with FORD, BNSF Railroad, General Electric, and Westinghouse.
