Eric Alegria, MPA, MA

Chief Operating Officer

Eric Alegria, MPA, MA is the Chief Operating Officer of Wellness Equity Alliance, where he leads with a deep commitment to improving the lives of society’s most vulnerable populations through equitable service delivery and public policy advocacy. His career spans a wide range of leadership roles across the private, nonprofit, and public sectors, reflecting a lifelong dedication to community impact and health equity.

Eric previously served as President and COO of Vision to Learn, Chief Operating Officer at Providence Health & Services, Vice President of Clinical Services at Optum, and Senior Director of Operations at DaVita Medical Group/Healthcare Partners. His career in healthcare followed earlier roles in public service, including positions with the cities of Los Angeles, Irvine, and La Cañada Flintridge. He also directed a nonprofit program serving Latino farmworker communities in Washington State—an experience that continues to inform his values-driven leadership approach.

In addition to his executive roles, Eric is an Adjunct Instructor of Public Administration at the University of Southern California, where he mentors future public service leaders.

Eric is currently a PhD candidate in Public Policy at Claremont Graduate University. He holds a Master of Public Administration from the University of Southern California, a Master of Arts in Pastoral Theology from Loyola Marymount University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Gonzaga University.

Eric and his wife, Christine, are the proud parents of four children — two daughters and two sons.
